Apex Robotics — Design and Materials Engineer

Apex Robotics was working on an autonomous pallet-truck project aligned with TUSAŞ requirements. I contributed to mechanical-design and material-selection discussions within the team.

My contribution

  • Researched lifting-mechanism options for the autonomous pallet truck.
  • Reviewed relevant literature and examples of manufactured parts and components.
  • Shared technical findings with the team to support design decisions.
  • Contributed to discussions around chassis and packaging compatibility, manufacturability, and structural strength.

Internship Experience

Özen Kompresör / Mehmet Özen Makine — R&D Engineering Intern

An R&D internship focused on structured engineering analysis and validation around screw-compressor air-end selection behavior and technical data.

My contribution

  • Worked with compressor air-end selection and performance outputs to organize repeatable technical validation workflows.
  • Compared model behavior across operating variables such as pressure, rotational speed, and available configuration/gear conditions where applicable.
  • Built and maintained structured calculation/validation workbooks and evidence tables for internal engineering use.
  • Documented assumptions, test cases, observed behavior, and validation results so that directly verified findings stayed separate from inference.

Public disclosure boundary

This portfolio intentionally excludes proprietary API structures, raw manufacturer datasets, internal calculation logic, evidence dumps, and other non-public implementation details. The public description is limited to the engineering workflow and the nature of the validation work.

KİM Technologies — Mechanical Engineering Intern

The internship covered ETK cutting operations, R&D, production exposure, and quality control for advanced ceramic components.

Diamond-wire cutting — direct hands-on work

Using an Ensoll ESS200-4T diamond-wire cutting system, my direct work included:

  • interpreting component geometry and drawing information;
  • selecting geometry from existing records;
  • manual nesting;
  • workpiece clamping;
  • wire positioning;
  • defining machine zero;
  • selecting the relevant program;
  • monitoring the cutting process.

Approximately 75 cutting operations / final components were handled during this part of the internship.

Diamond-wire cutting is an abrasive/mechanical process and must not be confused with Wire EDM. The Sodick SLC600G Wire EDM system was observational exposure, not a process I independently operated.

Quality control — direct work

  • Performed 2D digital radiography examinations within the quality workflow; this was not CT.
  • Examined and classified more than 100 components using company-defined exposure and image-processing settings, rather than independently defining X-ray parameters.
  • Performed hydrostatic density measurements on more than 100 components using the company's established Excel-based procedure.
  • Performed dimensional measurement as part of quality-control work.
  • Supported traceability steps including product/serial-number recording, label matching, laser marking, and packaging.

R&D thermal-response comparison

I participated in a preliminary comparison of aircraft brake-pad thermal response:

  • recorded surface temperature/time data with a thermal camera;
  • organized the data in Excel;
  • produced comparative temperature–time curves.

The work was preliminary. A small sample count and uncontrolled variables mean it should not be presented as a generalized performance conclusion.
